Hangzhou is one of the most touristic cities in China with its well-known poetic atmosphere around every corner. During the Chinese New Year in 2019, Hangzhou Tourism Board decided to promote this scenic city at Universal Studios Hollywood targeting to expand its attractiveness towards out of Asia.
“The Legend of the White Snake” is a well-known Hangzhou folklore about a couple going through countless obstacles being together. This is a good opportunity to leverage the characters of the stories and being the fictional ambassadors for promoting Hangzhou. I was responsible to create the character based on the folklore.
